Three countries, over 10,000ft of climbing and 500miles cycling in just 72 hours needs some serious planning.

Here's what we have come up with so far.....feel free to pass on any advice in the blog

Barnet to Fort William(499miles)

Meet at Daniels house to load vehicles (campervan, plus another vehicle – campervan? Car? To carry 10 people, 6 bikes, plus spares, luggage, food...)

Set off at 3pm, aim to drive 300 miles. Stopping for the night around Carlisle. Arrive 10pm ish.

Sleep in campervan.

Thursday 2nd June 2011

Arrive at Fort William, begin challenge...

Breakfast and set off at 7am for final 200-250miles to Ben Nevis, approximately 5 hour drive. Arrive at Fort William at 12pm.

Lunch and get sort kit out.

Begin challenge at 2pm.

Climb Ben Nevis – summit at 3.45pm

Descend BN – arrive back at van at 5.15pm.

5.30pm set off on bikes, to cycle 50miles/10pm.

10pm set up camp, dinner, wash, bed.

Friday 3rd June 2011

Full day on the bikes, 160miles... ish

Leave camp on bikes at 6am heading for Scaffel Pike.

Cycle until 10pm, covering around 160miles. This should leave us about 40 miles in the morning to get to Scaffel.

Saturday 4th June 2011

Whiz up Scaffel then back on the bikes to Snowdon.

Leave camp again at 6am to cycle final 40 miles to Seathwaite.

10am, ascend Scaffel, summit 12pm.

Descend via Borrowdale route, arriving at base around 2pm.

In the meantime, the girls have driven the van and bikes from Seathwaite to Borrowdale.

Cycle toward Snowdon until 10pm, crank out 90 miles.

Final day, the sprint finish!


Leave camp at 6am, cycle 100 miles to Snowdon.

Arrive at Snowdon at 12pm.

Ascend Snowdon, summit at 1.15pm

Descent 2.00pm.

FINISHED!!
